Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 7. - 9pm at Save Mart Center. Costa where he will offer insights on President Donald J. Trump, the U.S. Congress and the 2020 presidential election. Following his lecture, Costa will moderate a panel of Fresno State students and professors in a wide-ranging discussion of state and national issues. More info

THIS WEEK TCM Action Forum: "Moving Equity to the Center"
Friday, October 4, 2019 from 8:30 - 10:30AM at UC Merced Fresno Center (Inyo/Kern Rm). As many of you know through participating in the process, the Central Valley Community Foundation launched and is leading DRIVE–Developing the Region’s Inclusive and Vibrant Community. People from multiple sectors across Fresno have been working together for the last several months to create investable business plans in three areas – Neighborhood Development, Human Capital, and Economic Development. A major focus of DRIVE is creating racial and ethnic equity in every part of our community. On October 4th, DRIVE committee members who have been working on the inclusion effort will share their progress at the TCM Action Forum. During this conversation, the group will clearly delineate the difference between diversity and inclusion, examine community data and find specific ways for TCM members to plug into this exciting opportunity. Family Café 
The second series of this event is on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. Babies First is hosting five monthly Family Cafés for the year over the next five months (remaining series; November 27 and December 20). The purpose of the Family Cafés are to have conversations about parenting and build the five protective factors: relationships, support, communication, knowledge and resilience.  More info

Shaw Avenue, Suite 105, Fresno, CA 93710). The Pacific Southwest Mental Health Technology Transfer Center (MHTTC) is proud to present a series of upcoming, NO-COST trainings in collaboration with the California School-Based Health Alliance for educators, clinicians, school-based health providers, and other professionals working with young people. Action for Wellness: The Power of Legislation; 3rd Annual Statewide Asian Pacific Islander Mental Health Empowerment Conference hosted by Fresno County
November 21-22, 2019.  This is a no cost conference, and registration is open. While API is the focus, this is not limited to API but anyone who works and/or serves API community members, who wants to work to address health equity, and/or who may also be interested in the theme of how to use legislation to promote wellness.
